In the field of industrial fluid treatment, the duplex filter has become a key device to ensure the stable operation of the system with its unique design and excellent performance. It realizes the replacement and cleaning of the filter element without affecting the continuous operation of the system by alternating the two cartridges, which greatly improves the filtration efficiency and the convenience of equipment use.
Features:
Parallel duplex structure: This is the most significant feature. Two identical filter units (filter cartridges) are installed in parallel on the same valve group or frame.
Continuous operation: The core advantage. When one filter cartridge is in operation, the other can be used as a backup or offline (cleaning, replacing the filter element, maintenance). By switching the valve, the fluid can be instantly switched from the working filter cartridge to the clean backup filter cartridge without interrupting the process.
Redundant design: Provides operational redundancy. When one filter cartridge is blocked or requires maintenance, the other can be put into use immediately to ensure the continuous operation of the system and improve production reliability and safety.
Online maintenance: The blocked or maintenance-required filter cartridge can be isolated, depressurized, opened, cleaned or replaced with a filter element while the system maintains operating pressure, and then restored to standby status. Greatly reduce downtime.
Processing capacity and flexibility:The processing capacity can be increased by increasing the size or filtration area of a single filter cartridge.
Two filter cartridges can work online at the same time to cope with peak flow or higher filtration accuracy requirements (requires valve configuration support).
Differential pressure indication/monitoring: A pressure gauge or differential pressure gauge is usually installed at the inlet and outlet of each filter cartridge to monitor the clogging of the filter element (increased pressure difference) and indicate the need for switching and cleaning.
Multiple filtration levels: Filter elements of different precisions (such as filter bags, filter elements, filter baskets, filter screens, etc.) can be used to meet various needs from coarse filtration to fine filtration.
Wide material selection: The main body, filter cartridge, and filter element can be made of carbon steel, stainless steel (304, 316L), alloy, plastic (PP, PVDF) and other materials according to the properties of the fluid (corrosiveness, temperature, pressure).
