Efficient Acid Removal Filter Element

"Acid removal filter" refers to a filter element specially designed to remove acidic substances from fluids (most commonly air or water). Its core function is to neutralize or capture acidic components in fluids through physical adsorption or chemical reaction.

 

Working principle:

Ion exchange principle: In some water treatment filter elements, media that can release alkaline ions (such as calcium and magnesium) are used to replace hydrogen ions in water and increase the pH value of water (reduce acidity).

Adsorption principle: For example, granular activated carbon composite filter materials, through their porous structure and huge specific surface area, adsorb organic matter, pigments, odors and other impurities in oil, and can also physically adsorb some acidic substances.

 

Application:

Power industry: widely used in fire-resistant fuel systems of power plants to reduce the acid value of fire-resistant fuels, increase oil resistivity, prevent corrosion, colloid deposition and other failures of key components such as servo valves, and ensure the stable operation of EH systems.

Chemical industry: can be used for filtering various organic solvents, acids, and alkali solutions to remove acidic impurities and improve the purity of chemical raw materials or products.

Metallurgical industry: used for filtering the hydraulic system of rolling mills and continuous casting machines and filtering various lubricating equipment to protect equipment components and extend the service life of equipment.

Textile industry: suitable for purification and uniform filtration of polyester melts during wire drawing, protective filtration of air compressors, degreasing and dehydrating of compressed gases to ensure product quality and normal operation of equipment.

 

Features:

Efficient acid removal: can quickly and effectively reduce the acid value of oil, and has strong acid removal ability. For example, the acid removal capacity of some ion exchange resin acid removal filter elements is 700% higher than that of diatomaceous earth, and 250% higher than that of activated alumina and modified alumina.

Improve resistivity: can effectively improve the resistivity of oils such as fire-resistant oils, avoid electrochemical corrosion of components, improve the insulation performance of oils, and ensure the electrical safety of the system.

Good stability: the materials such as ion exchange resins used have stable physical and chemical structures, can maintain good performance within a certain temperature and pressure range, and can reach a working pressure of 1.0MPa without rupture or pollution.

No secondary pollution: No metal ions will be released during the treatment process, no reaction with oil components such as phosphate esters to produce gel-like phosphate metal salts, no servo valve adhesion failure, and no particle contamination caused by fuel oil.

Recyclable: Used ion exchange resin filter elements can be regenerated by the manufacturer to achieve recycling, reduce the cost of use, and also reduce pollution to the environment.
