Imported Glass fiber VS. Domestic Glass Fiber

There are significant differences between domestic and imported glass fibers in terms of performance, structure, price, environmental protection and application areas.Manifested in the following aspects:

1. Performance Differences:

Precision and filtration efficiency: Imported glass fibers have higher precision (1-25 microns), and their filtration efficiency, air permeability and pressure difference performance are better than those of domestic glass fibers (1-100 microns).

Water bag breaking ability: The imported glass fiber filter layer is thinner, which makes it easier to break the water bag in the oil and improve the quality of the oil; the domestic glass fiber filter layer is thicker and has weaker water bag breaking ability.

 

2. Structure & Appearance:

Imported glass fiber: It is composed of two layers of non-woven fabric and one layer of glass fiber yarn, with clear layers and yellowish color (because it contains a protective layer of tea oil paper).

Domestic glass fiber: It is composed of two layers of non-woven fabric and three layers of glass fiber yarn, with unclear layers and white color.

 

3. Price Differences:

The price of imported glass fiber is higher (about 300 yuan/kg), while the price of domestic glass fiber is lower (about 70 yuan/kg).

 

4. Application:

High-end fields (such as electronic glass fiber): imported glass fiber (such as Japanese and American products) dominates in ultra-fine fibers (less than 5 microns) and thin electronic cloth; domestic glass fiber is mainly concentrated in the mid- and low-end markets, and high-end products rely on imports.

Architectural decoration (such as fiberglass wall cloth): imported Haiji cloth has bright colors and diverse textures; domestic fiberglass wall cloth is grayer in color and less artistic.

 

Imported glass fiber is superior to domestic glass fiber in performance, precision, environmental protection and high-end applications, but the price is higher; domestic glass fiber has lower costs and is suitable for scenes with low precision requirements. Users could choose the right product according to their specific needs.
